Song of the Month: Jake Buckley – Sleeping with the Lights On

Song of the Month: Jake Buckley – Sleeping with the Lights On

Although this song might seem new to you, Jake Buckley is not new to music. His new single titled Sleeping with the Light On is a great example of the genius within to write killer music. Recently, after many years of being in other bands and writing music for others, Jake made the decision to go solo and finally explore his own creativity. Listening to his latest release we can hear him getting through his own personal storms and all the latest positive changes. Jake struggled with alcohol and drug addiction throughout his life and has been sober for 3 years now. We can clearly see the strength music has given him and all the inspiration he has gained from this rebirth. His new song is a feel good anthem anyone can turn up on a fucked up day, it will cheer you up and give you the energy to keep going. One of our favorites and our Song of the Month for a reason!

Song of the Month: Jewelia – No Lover

Song of the Month: Jewelia – No Lover

After being gone for about half a year Jewelia has come back stronger than ever. Surprising her audience with her new pop sound and 2022 single titled “No Lover”. A collaborative masterpiece self-produced by Jewelia and mixed by Nico Battistini, this production is a sexy and intense pop track we couldn’t stop replaying. A perfect amount of catchiness, emotional discord, and empowerment throughout the entire storyline. We follow the lyrics to find out that as much as we want to be with those that make us feel good, sometimes it’s better to let it be. This song allows us to bring awareness to our closest relationships so that we can make all the right decisions and avoid causing a mess. This is a pop song you MUST add to your playlist.

Song of the Month: Holler – Tell Me (What I want to Hear)

Song of the Month: Holler – Tell Me (What I want to Hear)

We thought long and hard for our song of the month and we decided it would be the band named HOLLER and their new single “Tell Me (What I want to Hear)”. They are a 4 piece indie band from the UK that we are stoked to introduce to you!

Their new song “Tell Me” is catchy and one of the best indie pop songs we’ve reviewed on Unseen Plays so far. The drums pop out, the guitars feel like they lead the story and the vocals are simply on point. The song follows a story of two teenagers that no matter what they do they can’t seem to make their relationship work. A classic and meaningful “coming of age” tune that you can almost touch and feel with your imagination but if you want a music video instead you can watch it below. We hope to see more from this band in the future! A “must listen to” track for indie pop lovers.
